We supply most houses and flats with a caddy for recycling food waste. Food waste we collect is processed into agricultural, nutrient-rich fertiliser. Some food waste can be used to make compost at home.

Food waste we can recycle
You can put any raw or cooked food in your caddy, including:
- meat and fish
- bones, fat and gristle
- rice, pasta, beans and cereals
- dairy products including eggs and shells
- tea bags and coffee grounds
- fruit, vegetables, salad and peelings
- bread, cakes and pastries
Food waste we cannot recycle
Do not contaminate your food waste with anything like the following:
- plastic bags
- food packaging
- liquids
- oil or liquid fat
- nappies
- pet litter
- pet bedding
